Iggy Pop - Préliminaires
Well, this is a nice record. If you can go thru the unbearablingly (yeah, I know this word doesn’t exist) cheesy version of “Les feuilles mortes” (Autumn Leaves – Iggy should be condemned to listen to Diamanda Galas version of that standart until the end of times), this is a nice record. Laidback, cool, quite sad ; Iggy in a “sad-old-crooner” mood, that’s always pretty cool... But it sure won’t change your life. Apart from the already classic “King Of The Dogs” (well, new-orleans marching band stuff always works, anyway…), none of the songs here featured will really stay in your mind… Not a bad record. Is it enough, by Iggy’s quality standarts ? The answer is yours.
