I suspect that it must be a demo.....
As it is the Warrior AT the edge it must be prior to stepping ON to the edge of time. Mystery solved.

Thank you again everyone. So, Thrench(meister)you think the warrior AT the edge of time cd's are maybe demo's? To confuse things a bit more the track listings on the back of both have the opening track 'assault and battery' written as 'assult and battery'! The sound quality is identical on both cd's too so i either have demo's, or rare copies or fakes??? frustrating, but thanks again to you all.

I saw one guy mentioning the spine.
I have had to put on my reading glasses in a couple cases to squint at ebay copies, but so far they all look like "ON"
By the way, I am pretty sure the guy making the demo comment was just making humor!!

Presume this is common - one of my vinyl versions (not original but old) of warrior lists 'magno' and 'the demented king' on the inside track listing which doesn't agree with the outer sleeve - and according to the sonic attack album one 'harvey burbridge' was on sunths etc

Hi, The easiest way to spot a fake cd is by checking what's typed near the hole of the disc (in the platinum side). It should have "MAYKING RECORDS DOJOCD84" AND IN THE OPPOSITE side diametrically "10203901 01%". Everything else is a misprint or a fake. I got 3 identical copies (one with a mispressed inner sleeve).
The only realmispress I know is the Griffin version which plays Pendragon. And this very mispress has 3 variations in what is typed near the hole of the disc. Strange is that i was the only bidder for it 5 months ago on Ebay, won it for only 20 dollars...

pretty nice here mate, how about you! I got my brazilian warrior LP for free. It was a gift along a brazilian Starfighters single i bought from a very kind brazilian fellow. So far and by far the best gift i have got. And even in minty condition. Pity i don' t remember his name...

I took away the mention of my Brazilian warrior since I didnlt want to bore everyone, but I am so happy about it I can almost stop collecting. It's as mint as you could ever get. Because it's a laminated cover I have it in a special plastic display thingie without any outer plastic sleeve. I should put a pic of that/those on this forum next time I do "Hawkemon"
I must have looked where I did at the exactly perfect time. It cost about 45 USA including shipping

The bad thing is that i traded that single. I remember it having a sticker like a promo in portuguese. I don't really collect singles except the rare ones. Very few remained around 7 or 8 which were bought locally before the ebay days, but i don't really pay much attention as they aren't something special in terms of rarity. I have a box where i have stored my 3 Sonics plus my 4 Hurries (1 on auction, one demo and two "common" copies) and the Far-out King with its precious cover. Someday if i got cash i'll buy that persian silver and maybe the Angolan too. But not really that i am after them anyway... I had a Japanese promo guerrilla which i traded for the original artwork of the Magnu single plus its transparencies along with a Sonic Attack and the Kings of Speed with cover...

I decided just to "specialize" in singles from the USA and then just grab whetever else was rare enough to suit my fancy. It blows my mind what I have managed since I started over and I still remember a guy i used to help work on his car at 3am when it was FREEZING outside saying "I'd get 'em again", and I couldn't hear it. I just wanted to die!!! (only partly due to the loss of so much stuff!!) hehehe
anyway, I don't worry about the singles too much and I follow you almost all the way through what you just wrote until you mention the Magnu single!! Please explain!! also the language barrier prevents me from understanding "transparencies" exactly, though I will likely figure it out as soon as I send this
ps- I had never heard of Alfred until I came back in about 006 or 007......he must have a housefull!!!

It sounded like you mentioned that you have a DOJO "warrior on the edge" CD with a mispressed INSERT??
I think you said you have 3 copies would you mind sharing what you have that is unusual since you mentioned it??

I mean the original artwork on paper that was painted so to be transferred on the picture disc (front and back) and the 2 EP and 7" versions. This is really one of a kind as it is the only one made/painted/sketched. I know the BBC is the holy grail, but in termsof rarity this is more rare as it is the only one ever made. By transparencies I mean the negatives to be transferred to the offset printing so to produce the covers.

Alfred is a good fellow and pretty much like Wilfried in terms of collecting. Last time we spoke was 3 months ago.

The dojo insert was printed along a cd insert of Gary Moore. Not really a fan, i don't know which is it exactly, except the fact that it is black and the first track is "YOU". At least this is what i see on the warrior insert (it has 1/4 in height printed the Gary Moore insert). Not a big thing. In terms of printing run, this was done because thhe very page having the covers was moved by error in regard to the reverse side. So there are at least 15 like this mispressed warriors.

I am still confused though!! Magnu?? are you speaking a United Artists item or later era??
also, if you ever feel like it and have the time could you let us all see it???

By the way anyone reading this--- for the sake of explanation since this is public, my own interest in a Brazilian warrior LP was simply because it is unique in a certain way: it has all the track info and also the other info normally on the inner sleeve written on the back cover in pink. I guess I am a nutter for pink It's just single sleeve, not a shield.
Also, Alfred is a guy we know who has one of the largest collections of hawkwind ,,,,,
and yes he IS a nice fellow, I have helped him get a couple things...don't hear from him regular though.

That shield Warrior LP introduced me to HW! A friend gave it to me, saying. "I don't really like this but I think you might."
