Interesting exchange over on the Bob Calvert Facebook page - probably old news for everyone - but anyway..
Peter Draper Just ordered Hawklords Live 78 from Atomhenge/Cherry Red (Thanks Steve). I was at Brunel University that night. They were also filming the gig. Has anyone got any ideas where you can obtain a copy of that film?
Steve Swindells Peter Draper - I know the film exists, but I don't know who owns it or has copyright blah blah. Doug Smith would probably know.
ended up with someone going to get in touch directly with Doug Smith to find out the story about the film. I wonder if there's too much of copyright tangle or if the footage just isnt very good.

I read somewhere that it's been shown at a few art exhibitions. I guess it's someone's private property. I suspect that the falling out with Barney Bubbles at that time is a sore point. It's one of those scabs we don't want to pick too much..

Did they actually fall out? I've never heard that. I was more under the impression that Barney/Teenburger was more wrapped up in other ventures i.e. designs for NME/Stiff/Damned/Elvis C./Blockheads etc., his band with Nik (Ersatz?) and video (didn't he direct The Specials Ghost Town video?).
