The Hawks are sounding great on the recent gigs/clips I've seen.
Any plans to come to America this year?

Doubt it!!!

It would be cool if Hawkwind did return to your land; they haven't visited for 5 years, and haven't done a 'proper' tour there for many more! Problem is of course, geographically, the logistics are hard enough and would entail hiring gear and likely additional personnel on top of the existing tour costs of transportation, accommodation etc, and then there's flights and everything else to consider...

Then there's the fact it's America. Strict customs; an entourage of hippies, some of the most notorious hippies in the music world! Anyone with any criminal convictions faces a nightmare of hassle if they even manage to get in at all. Getting working visa's for bands there is hard enough, let alone Hawkwind!

That said, I reckon if a few smart, powerful, faithful booking agents and promoters Stateside were to invest in Hawkwind a bit, they'd do well. Hawkwind are a legendary band to say the least, and whilst their following may be a cult one, it's an avid fanbase, and the notion of the Hawks in America I'm sure would see fans voyage across the country to see them.

I'd say hopefully, maybe, one day. Every so often, Brock or someone else hints something, or says one is happening, suggesting that there is an attempt to make it work. One day??

I'm doing a course in Tour Management this year, perhaps I should try and sort it out ahaha!
