I see the BBC long range weather forecast is predicting an improvement in the weather towards the end of the month!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/ ... look.shtml

Highlights:

Monday 21 July 2008 to Sunday 03 August 2008

“More hope of prolonged summer sunshine.”

Sunnier weather is expected for many ... The sunshine in the south will bring higher than average temperatures for this time of year.

I'm a bit dubious about their use of the word 'will,' but it sounds good.

:D i was one of the poor souls who went to the sunrise festi in somerset, which tragicaly flooded.it was a total desaster area and had to be cancelled.lets hope hawkfest escapes the rain this year.i live in cornwall, which today is under water.as for the sunrise festi (which i strongly recamend) has been resceduled to merge with the big chill two days after hawkfest....looks like im in for the long haul...bring it on.lets all hope for the sun to do its work..come on summer !!!

This is due to the large amount of positive orgone energy being released as a result of all the excitement people are feeling leading up to the Hawkfest!

Not wishing to tempt fate people but:

UK Outlook for Sunday 20 Jul 2008 to Tuesday 29 Jul 2008:

North-western and central areas will see bright spells and showers on Sunday but more persistent rain on Monday, heavy at times. Elsewhere drier with sunny spells, just the chance of occasional showers, although south-western parts likely to remain dry throughout. Temperatures generally below normal and feeling rather cool. Tuesday through to Thursday will see north-western parts often cloudy with showers or rain, this possibly heavy at times, especially later. Further south and east will generally be drier and brighter with some good spells of fine weather and temperatures recovering to near normal, perhaps warm in the south-east. Towards the end of next week and into the following week, a ridge of High pressure is expected to build across the southern half of the UK, although continuing unsettled further north.

The more I see of this bloody so-called summer, the more I realise just how incredibly lucky we were to get all that sun on the two Hawkwind days. It's been rainy in Devon pretty well ever since.

Just been running my camcorder footage back from the Hawfest 2 years ago. Everyone just looks pissed wet through, so much mud even the extra hay bails couldnt soak it up, and I think the only time the sun came out was Dave and Kris"s wedding. Ahhhhh... Bless!! Didnt spoil the weekend though.
