Does anyone know if the CD release was digipack only?
I bought vinyl version from Cherry Red and CD from ebay NL and its in a jewel case.
I can only find a digipack release on Discogs and not a jewel case?

The original release direct from the band (which is what I have) was a digipack (if that's the correct term for a card sleeve). I believe that when it was licensed out after that, some of those may have been standard jewel cases maybe?

[edit] Hang on. Am I getting this confused with Dave Brock's solo album? Looking at my Machine Stops, it's via Cherry Red (and yes, it's digipack).

My [signed version :D ] is in a Digipack. Sometime the initial pressing are Digipacks then record companies swap to the cheap standard crystal cases, so it could be a second pressing.

Or it could be a non Cherry Red pressing? :?:

Or an iffy bootleg.

It must be a 2nd pressing, its on Cherry Red and it's not a bootleg.

Thanks All

Yesterday I took a quick look at the situation the best I could on a tablet and concluded the same..... I saw there was a us seller (on eBay) who had jewel case versions...
I myself like these versions because looking after the vinyl is about all I can handle
