I wonder if it indeed arrives before the tour dates. I'm actually surprised it is with Cherry Red, I couldn't figure out which sublabel of them it is going to be released by. No sign of it under Atomhenge. Cherry Red means it should be decent sound quality, the compression problems all occurred under Eastworld's reign. Now, where's my card... Will have to give Brockworld a few more listens in the meantime.

I'm all over this like a fat kid on a Snickers bar. Looks pretty interesting.

Also, not to be contrary but compression and sound issues are not usually the fault of the label that releases the disc. It's generally more likely on the original production of the recordings.

The title reminds me of the discussion about the "this is the last but one" back in 1979.
I'd love to see a fancy deluxe version beside the vinyl though.

Regarding the compression, that may be the case, but there's no getting away from the fact that the two Eastworld albums had these problems, but the subsequent HLO album and Dave's two solo albums had no such problem. Maybe it was an approach that they stopped due to complaints, maybe not.

I do recall at the time someone having a whinge on twitter at Niall about Onward being compressed and his response being simply "Eh?".

In other news, teamrock have posted the tracklisting here:

http://www.teamrock.com/news/2016-02-11 ... cept-album

No obvious recycled songs, unless they've been renamed, which of course has happened before.

1. All Hail the Machine
2. The Machine
3. Katie
4. King of the World
5. In My Room
6. Thursday
7. Synchronised Blue
8. Hexagone
9. Living on Earth
10. The Harmonic Hall
11. Yum Yum
12. A Solitary Man
13. Tube
14. Lost in Science

On yet another side note, I got informed by this as part of a Google Alert, which gives you the first couple of lines of the article. I'm saying this not because I want to promote the snooping conglomerate, but rather to mention it reveals the preview states it as the follow up to 2015's Revolution, which is I believe the Hawklords' last album. The article itself has since been corrected by someone who can tell their Wind from their Lords, or should that be their Arse from their Elbow... journalism worthy of the current bun.

My emotion receptors are activating.
To love a machine that ceases to function.
Can't translate this into the last but none.
Does not compute.
Bio-unit Brock isn't into malfunction mode.
Need this piece of data to survive.
Must import.

I'm thinking about using Gonzo to define my good days from bad.
Good ones being days they have not told me my space ritual is in stock and ready to ship.

Today, so far, is a good one!!

I wonder if any of them are actually going hungry

I was chatting to Dibs at Weston and he said they were working on a load of original stuff. What he did say was that Dave dropped in a couple of recycled lyrics thinking people wouldn't notice. It was pointed out we would.

Can't wait. Was supposed to be a double album 20 months ago so I'd expect all new stuff!

The only vinyl I'd ordered from them - which was the Warrior set, they did ship internationally but at the time I'd had to order from Cherry Red directly rather than the CD club.

Will have to pre-order this soon, myself.
