What a shock. I met Jason several years ago when he was in Captain Rizz, and he was a very friendly approachable bloke. His playing brought a new layer to the Hawkwind sound and his natural ability always shone ...I like many others really enjoyed his playing and thought the recent shows and releases, particularly Take me to your Leader, benefitted enormously from his playing.
I will remember him most for that enormous grin that he permanently wore whilst on stage behind the keyboards.
To his family, and the rest of the band this must be a gut wrenching blow and obviously an agonisingly sad time, and (for the band) one which can only be remedied by playing your hearts out next time we see you live.
Until then..... Image

A shocking tragedy. All I have thought about today is Jason Stuart.
I too had the pleasure of meeting him, notably at the real ale bar at Hawkfest 2007 and briefly at Herefordshire. He will indeed be sadly missed.
A beer festival has started today here in Alsager at the Cricket Club. I have just phoned a friend and am going there shortly to raise a glass in time honoured fashion.
I have my Hawkwind Spirit Of The Age 2004 tee shirt on.
Rest in peace Jason. Somewhere up there is a Hawkwind constellation and the vibes there will be good now.
Cheers,
Steve.

What can I say that hasn't been said already? I heard and saw Jason at a number of gigs and am very shocked to hear this news. My sympathies to his family, friends, members and technicians of Hawkwind.

I loved Jason's performance when I saw the band at the Astoria in 2007, it was truly awesome.

My condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time.

I saw Jason play several times. He is a sad loss to us all and I hope he is playing his music still.
