I spoke to Kris and Dave and mentioned I prob had to mis Hawktober, they asked where I was based and when I said Kent they said there's always London, so I'm guessing there's no confirmed gig in Brighton close yet. This may change, I'm sure.

But they're not on sale until the 27th. :?

Got to go, though. I mean - Steve Hillage! AND Dave Brock. Two of my main guitar influences on the same stage. :)

Yes, I've just heard about that. Steve Hillage with Hawkwind sounds like it's going to be amazing. And of course Steve on stage again with Tim is something special.

Hawkwind and Hillage - it doesn't come much better than that! Wish I could be there!

Whats the general opinion about Shepherds Bush Upstairs or Downstairs. I got a bit cramped downstairs at the Rock for rescue, are the upper levels less so ???

Ps : If theres any requests granted my vote is for PXR5...think it would fit nicely into current sound, any takers for that ????

I think the view is better upstairs but the sound is better downstairs. I'm downstairs.

If anyone happens to talk with Steve Hillage, could they please explain that although Sweep votes UKIP he also visits Europe and has the greatest respect for Steve's French partner Miquette, as he'd know by now if he realised who I am, so disagreeing by saying he visits Europe a lot and has a French partner wasn't really a disagreement at all. With all due respect to Steve, he had the wrong end of the stick in some parts of our recent Twitter conversation. It's maybe not surprising - a lot of people have the wrong end of the stick, or even the wrong stick entirely, due to media propaganda.

I won't be able to go to this gig myself, but I can well imagine it'll be marvellous. In fact the only thing better than Steve with Hawkwind would be both Steve and Miquette with Hawkwind.

Tickets, flights and hotel booked. :D
At the space ritual I went up stairs but I,m going to the stalls this time. Hoping it will be louder nearer the stage
I was thinking of going to Manchester but decided on London to see Steve Hillage play with them. Now if the Ruts would support that would just be pefect.

For me, the advantage with being down on the floor is that you can move around to where the sound mix is best. The sound up in balcony seats is rarely any good. You can still move around at Shepherd's Bush (unreserved seats) but it's more of a disturbance to others seated there.

Downstairs is where it's at. :)
