Question for the Admin really. Will we be allowed to take cameras into the hall at Hawkeaster?

I've never had a problem, but the reports of the heavy handedness at the Herne Bay Space Ritual gig has made me a bit more wary. (Sounds like it was down to the band/promoter). Just don't try to bring in a tripod! :-)
I've only taken stills so may be different for video (but really, is a shaky 30sec iphone clip on you tube really going to dent sales of any DVD?)
If it's just for fun and absolutely no commercial gain, then I don't think the band themselves would have an issue.

Some pics I've taken in the past:

It would be good if Kris could post a statement, or tell us if official Photo Passes are required. I don't want to take my SLR in and have it confiscated by some security dude, as has happened at some other venues. I have to say that at Hawkfests, there has never been any kind of issue, but i don't know who is responsible for such things at Seaton.

Hiya,

There will not be any issues about bringing cameras to HawkEaster......Come, take photos and enjoy :D
(Video clips etc on phones are fine, but obviously no big video set ups filming whole sets. :-) ) If any of the other bands on the bill have objections,we will let it be known and would expect folk to respect their wishes. I hope this is fair.

Kris x

Thank you for the clear statement Kris. It is great to know that there won't be any hassles on the day.

Only a month to go now :) :)
