Been a good while since i posted anything on these boards.....just found this though,and havnt seen anything else on here about it....hawkwind hmv ritz manchester friday 25th january 2013....its on the ritz website.......great venue the ritz,only downside is the bar prices !

I'll remember to carry a few tenners then.... I've never visited Manc before, but I'm looking forward to it.
Is this Ritz place the venue where the fire alarm failure happened, and the gig had to be cancelled at the last minute? I remember reading about that, in 2008 or 2009, I think it was. I don't want to go all that way, and then be barred by a bunch of 'Elf and Safety jerks.

Has anyone seen any bands at this Ritz venue? What's it like?
And where's the best spot for any pre-gig drinkies?
I'm supposed to be meeting some people up there and they asked me where to go. I said I hadn't a clue and that I'd ask on the HW forum!
