I've got my ticket ref for that gig.
Nearest previous was Portsmouth in 1980.... with Ginger Baker. Wow, different era, or what?
Where'll the pre-gig drinkies be, then?

"Waggoner's Arms" has been mentioned in Hawkwind Chat (er, by me, because I saw it on the internet) but I haven't really seen a consensus emerging as to where the pre-gig drinkies will be.
So far, I've seen a photo of the exterior of the pub... and that's no way to judge, really. Books and covers, and all that.
Where will the Brook Veterans be going? ... or are they going to keep it a secret, so they don't get invaded by johnnie-come-lately riff-raff from the south-west or the south-east!

Unless there'a numbered seats like in pre-1990s venues, it's kind of hard to combine hanging on to a fav spot, with swigging beers all night. Unless of course there's a secret catheter arrangement down your trouser leg, and your fav spot becomes steadily surrounded by a puddle of piss as the night goes on? Um, sorry, just thinking out loud, here Unlike the Bridport gig (where I'm driving home at midnight), the Soton gig is going to be a sesh. Yay!

Ticket booked. I might actually book into a Travelodge or something if I can spare the cash, which I probably can't but oh well. I look forward to seeing some of you lot again. Been too long!
