Wow - thanks for that - living in hope!

Look on the main tour thread. I posted a link to ticketmaster Ireland. They have hawkwind listed for the Dublin button factory on may 29th. Tickets not on sale yet though and it's not confirmed yet either, but it looks like there'll be at least one show over that way. On twitter they were suggesting a couple of shows in Ireland.

Starting to sound promising - seen the ozrics in the Button Factory a year and a half ago and it seems to be a good venue - Don't know the cork venue but will travel if it happens - thanks for the heads up - excitement mounts!

Anyone coming to Cork for the gig on May 28th, why not arrange a meet up? I live in Cork city centre and have booked the 28th - 30th off work with the intention of going up to Dublin the following night for the gig there. I would be happy to meet in with any visitors (or locals) for the day and get suitably prepared for the gig. I can promise a day full of jollity!

I will certainly be going to both gigs and plan on getting the train to Cork the day of the gig and returning to Dublin the following day - if you know of any hostelry that sells a decent pint of Guinness I would certainly meet up for a pre gig 'warm up'! - on a slightly different note I note both of these venues are over 18 which is disappointing - I wanted to bring my three children to the Dublin gig - it's pretty 'weird' that both my 15 year old son and myself seen Hawkwind twice in the past two years in London at venues with a bar area and there was no problem at all once he was accompanied by an adult - such is life!

No problems there BD - the venue is in the centre of town, surrounded by good pubs. Depending on what time you arrive, we might manage a bit of a tour. Let's see who else is up for it before we make arrangements.
Years ago I wanted to take my son to see them in Aberdeen when we lived there, but he was only 9 and couldn't get in. I ended up having to take him to Germany to see them. It all worked out in the end though, we got a lift back to the nearest town after the festival from Dave himself.

Nice story that avante - typical Dave I guess - sounds cool for the Irish leg of the tour - i'm based in Arklow - might hit Dublin the night before and hit Cork earlyish to savor the vibes - looking forward to it in a big way - few friends going to the Dublin gig too so that should be fun

Weird things happen on the Hawkwind forum. I got locked out for a few weeks there and had to register using a new name. no problem there, this is the one nearly everyone online in various forums etc knows me by, but just in case you are confused, I am the poster previously known as Avante1 (there's a similar story behind that name, but not just now). Anyway Brown Dawn, still up for Cork next Monday? And anyone else like to meet up before the gig?
