hi guys. this was posted by hawkwind on facebook http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZNE3_f1 ... e=youtu.be there seems to be ambient backing music going on and then i hear the lyrics from assault and battery. sounds like it's sang by richard i think. does anyone know where this version of assault and battery is from? i would like to get hold of it if it's out there. is very different from the original and i love the hawks ambient stuff. i cant work out if it is actually a reworking of assault and battery or if it's just the words to completly different music. any info would be cool thou guys :)

Not sure it's really a 'version', a joke more like. Just messing around in the rehearsal shed I should say.
You need to take off your Hawkémon collector's goggles :)

However I do like the idea of using selected jams and unreleased extended middle eight sections as new tracks. They are showing signs of doing more of this sort of thing.. who knows..

Nice interview, like part two of the weird montage on Blood of the Sun..

good point. i'm very obsessive about collecting hawkwind songs lol. it sounds good thou to be fair :)

There are other links to interviews in the hawkwind chat section. I quite like the funny alternate version of Assault and Battery. Made me wonder if that's what the mysterious Stella Variations was about.
