This will be my first Hawkfest so I though i would start a thread where us Newbies could ask typical 1st timer questions .
OK To kick off, if you come in by campervan can you leave the site and come back and will you go back to the same pitch?
If you cant, what about Milk, eggs, bread etc?

i know from years past that you usually can leave site and if you leave something behind you would probably keep the same pitch like a windbreak or something but usually there is an on site shop that sells the likes of everyday essentials, but as i can tell as the festival is only for three days surely you could collect these items from a shop on the way up to the festival enough to last 3 days i know we do. i will do my best to answer any more questions to the best of my knowledge for you newbies if i can help after all i like to help people out if i can x Peace Bev x

Cheers Bev
Don't plan on leaving but in case you needed/wanted to pop out its nice to know. I always end up forgetting something.
What time do people usually start arriving? What time do the acts usually start?
On the workshops ( i know more details will be on the website but my daughter keeps bugging me ) are there "regular" ones that have been held on previous Hawkfests?
How many times do Hawkwind usually play over the weekend?

Hey there y'all!
I'm another one who's hopefully going to his first ever Hawkfest, but what are the chances of it being on the same weekend as last year. I ask as I should be down at Donington Park for the MotoGP the same week . Last year I turned up at the campsite just as the Hawkfest tent was going down. You can imagine my reaction to not knowing the HF was going on there.
This is, of course, if it will be at Donington Park again.

It's so awesome to find out on the forum there are people travelling from New Zealand and Canada and America just for HawkFest...respect to you all - and here's me thinking coming from the Netherlands was way cool
