Does any one know what the process normally is after a band has applied to play at Hawkfest? Once the written application goes in how long is it before they are contacted with a yes or no and/or a request to send in a demo CD?

Why not take the Hawkwind approach of old? Just turn up and play.

i just think you have to send a demo and they choose the band that way i cant be sure but according to their hawkfest site on myspace thats what it said a little while ago. I'm sorry i don't know about the rest

LOL if I did that I would be Booed off the stage  I don't know anyone that has such a lack of musical talent as myself. A Demo has already been sent in, so I hope they will hear back soon. I'll send them the just turn up advice though

I also wonder if anyone knows this ?
I sent a demo, but have not heard anything yet.

Hello folks!
Sorry about delay on this, but there has been a lot going on in the Hawkwind universe recently.....
Anyway, next week the whole band will be together and will begin listening to all the demos sent in........this will take a couple of weeks as we have so many, then we will be able to let folk know.
Thanks to everyone who has applied to play......

Brilliant!!! I know having so many is hard work, but the more that are applying the more quality , as fans, we get. I cant wait.

It's reassuring to hear that perhaps we may still get an invitation to play... the band is certainly fired-up for it!
