Birmingham Kinetic Playground 1971 takes some beating

I've got a copy of a gig that's called Starfarer's Despatch, allegedly from Liverpool, which I think is the same gig.

On my copy DB suffers some guitar problems and Nik's forgotten his sax so there's lots of flute. There's also Bob doing Spirit of the Age as a long poem called Starfarer's Despatch. The whole thing is an embryonic Space Ritual, very interesting.

it was definitely Birmingham !! - 2nd December 1971 to be precise
Twink playing Drums - encore is a massive 'Born to Go'
I've recently discovered where the Kinetic Playground was, too

Yes, I've got a copy of this and it does say it's Birmingham.
Was the Kinetic Playground later called the Mayfair Suite? was it In or near the Bullring?

I'm reliably informed it was where TK Maxx is now (by the front entrance to New Street Station is
apparently it was a poky little upstairs room. Sounded great 8)

I've only lived in Brum for 20 years - I'm originally from Croydon - but I'm pretty sure the Mayfair was what the Hummingbird (and now the soon to be demolished Academy) on Dale End, was originally called
