Thanx everyone..... yes thats me, the reason i always look a misarable git is im always s****ing myself. Every picture i see looks like im about to burst into tears.....tears of joy maybe!!! These are people like you i have watched and been inspired by for many years and being part of the Hawkwind family is an honour.... That includes all the true Hawkwind fans ! Yes i must admit any 60s S.G would blow mine away, price and sound. I love Gibson guitars and apart from the S.G the Les paul (r.i.p) and R.D artist are up there for me having the same neck are great to play.

Nice one Jim. I have to say that every time I see you you do look busy and a bit anxious. That must be why I always see you "relaxing" when you get the chance, lol.

Also have the Gibson guitars as a first choice ( before it was Fender's ), and I have a LP Studio Alpine White, a cheap one 800£ on sale and must admit there are something special with the sound compared to other guitars. I also wandered what guitar Mr.Keef are playing ?. Look's like an LP but since the bridge pickup are not straight I'm not sure what he uses. Remember Huw Lloyd Langton had the same one at last Hawkfest. As you see I'm very interrested in guitars , and you don't look miserable Jim

I'm another Gibson fan. I have a '71 SG cherry but unfortunately they are not the origional pickups, and a 2005 Les Paul Classic in black with ivory trim. Lovely stuff. the sound is just great. Mind you the Les paul lets you know it's there after a while. Damn heavy beast.

capt.spacelord wrote: Les Paul are actually the same as a womans body , except the cutoff, same nice shape, the touch, the feeling, but the sound are much, much better I think I can live with that sentiment too 'cos if I play my Les Paul too long it gives me a pain in the neck aswell.

Had a Les Paul for years before I switched to bass - fantastic guitars. Strap one on and you immediately feel like a rock star. A Strat always felt too light after that. Never played an SG but they always looked really cool when Angus Young was bopping about with one - even when he was dressed as a schoolboy and flashing his arse.

I'd just like to add that Jim is a true gent, having had the good fortune to meet him over several excellent occassions - Eastern Haze, Hawkfests, Astoria and Porchester among them. And my missuss thinks he's a cool dude too... so that makes it official!
And, yeah, I can well imagine what you're feeling to be up there with them, Jim - I'm still blown away over the filming at Hawkfest 2007...
