How about everyone who attends brings all of their copies of 'Bring Me The Head of Yuri Gagarin' on CD and Vinyl that they own (and all the different names its been released under) and Sunday night we pile them up and have a mass ritual burning, dancing round the fire and possibly play it through the PA for one last time whilst we are doing it.

Why? It stands a record of an event that would be otherwise unavailable, and taken in context the original release although poor and below even bootleg quality is still an insight into the band's live sound at the time.
I agree the constant re-releases under a different guise it out of order, and in case I'm not seeing the humour of your post, maybe we should go with your original idea and keep the cds as bird scarers for the allotment, burn the perpetrators and spread their ashes as compost! Far more enviromentally friendly and would put an end to the re-issue shenanigans!
Disclaimer; This may not be in keeping with the terms and conditions of the forum and could be interpreted as an incitement to riot and violence...heh heh.

Maybe we could burn down Parliament while we're at it and attack Asian shops during a night of mayhem!
Anyways I see one flaw in the Gagarin funeral pire. Burn the copies and we'll all need to go out and put money in the pockets of the people who keep on reissuing them by buying a new copy!

I think it's meant to be an example of unlikely behaviour on the part of forum members.
Personally, as I paid £8 for Gagarin on eBay last Autumn (the full show), I'm going to keep it intact. I like Hawkwind bootlegs!

I know what you mean. I quite like Gargarin. I like Live '73 and Text of Festival too amongst a few other not so perfectly recorded concert recordings.
I'd rather listen to dodgy quality recording of Hawkind that the best quality recording of Robbie Williams any day.
And remember, its only the sound that's dodgy. The music is of the highest quality.

A lesson from history hopefully not already forgotten. The occasion involved a lot of book burning and burning down a parliament too!
