U.S. Taxpayers lost $105 million dollars on the cost of minting pennies and nickels in 2013.

In 2013, the cost of making pennies and nickels exceeded their face value for the eighth year in a row. The cost of minting a penny stood at 1.8 cents, nearly twice its face value. Nickels cost twice as much as dimes – 9.4 cents vs. 4.6 cents – despite being worth only half as much.

a 2014 article from Washington Post: ... last-year/

Trump' s initial budget-proposal included a measure to end Social Security benefits for disabled Americans. He's also cut billions from humanitarian aid to foreign nations.

At the same time he proposed increasing military-spending by an astronomical sum.

Perhaps Trump hasn't looked in enough areas of waste, such as the cost of coin currency, or the space program, overseas military presence, (excluding Afghanistan, which is a democracy and their government has formally asked for the United States' help in defeating terrorists)
among other items including a southern-border wall [proposed to be built] across stretches of land that are already geographically impassable to humans.
