That VdGG documentary is cool! some great footage, well expressed and informed commentary.
I first came in contact with the music through an old WNYU (New York) college radio programme called "Plastic Tales From The Marshmallow Dimension" which later was taken over by underclassmen and ruined with a new format. But the original programme was hosted by a couple different DJs, one who went by the nickname Baron Saturday and another whose on-air moniker escapes me at the moment. They were radically underground and very cool with the stuff they played !
