hello
i was just wondering how many forum members saw the UFO at about 1am Saturday nite / Sunday morning of this year's Hawkfest?
i was not hallucinating, and three others I have talked to saw it, from different vantage points that nite.
It was an orange lens-shaped craft, aligned vertically. it came out of the sky from the direction of Honiton, grew to about the size of the crescent moon, and sheared off at a 90 degree angle when it was about halfway to the zenith. as it travelled away from us, it faded quickly, as though it were being followed by a black cloud.
i could not hear any engines or rotors over the sound of the generators at the murgens keep booth. it also didnt blink.
the next day, catching a ride to the train station, i mentioned it, and the family i was riding with had seen it too. they sent me a clipping from the SUN which said there were over 200 UFO sightings that weekend.
pretty cool, eh. a spaceship at Hawkwind.
i cant believe noone has brought it up in forum yet.
stay cool.

i didn't see it but i did see a lot of shooting star activity that night/morn so maybe it wasn't what i thought as a shooting star. Its funny you should mention it though as me and my partner were just on about the first fest in Seaton(Devon) and how much sky activity there was on the Saturday night Steve(my partner) assured me it was spaceship hawkwind going home lol who knows Peace Bev x

A bunch of us saw it from the bar and after some discussion decided it was a sky lantern... of course, we could be wrong.

Shit, and there as me thinking it was the beer and drugs... close call.
Maybe they were checking out the technicians of spaceship earth... looking for thier captain still ?
I guess they may have looked at landing, smelt the toilets and took off again !!

Yes, Yes, I did as well. Havn"t mentioned it before cos I knew every one would think of me as a loony. It was magnificent and I felt this urge to go and follow it through the night clouds singing "I am Buzz Lightyear, and I come in peace", and then, and then........
