Long time fan here to say howdy and nice to be here.

First HW experience for me was Roadhawks in the late 70's, a chance listening for which I will be eternally grateful. From then on became a fan and have never looked back, aquiring all their recordings (well not all) which in Canada is hard to do, especially in the older days.

Loved a lot of other rock/alternative music as well, and gradually became bored of most of it, but never got tired of Hawkwind (and Tangerine Dream). Am appreciative of all the new releases, especially knowing Dave B will want to retire some day.

Everytime I listen to "Hippie" I think "that's the greatest rock song ever recorded". Until I listen to "Lord of Light". Or "Paradox". Or "Shot Down in the Night". Or "Free Fall". Or "Moonglum". Or.....well you get the idea.

Sadly, have never witnessed them live in concert, so am deeply envious of you Brits who think nothing of catching them in your own backyard.

Take care.
Cliff.

...and left a galaxy of dreams behind.

Hi jazzlover. Someone will have to tell Dave as I don't think he plans to hang up his boots!

I will take care while standing on that edge.....of time.

Hopefully Dave continues on for many moons...there is none to take his place. He is the King of Rock.

It is but for madmen only, the first performance has begun.

The greatest music ever recorded.
