My first Hawkwind gig was at the Lyceum in 1980 it was an all dayer with loads of odd new age bands I seem to remember one was called "The Androids of Mu" or something like that anyway they modstly got booed off stage after a song or two. inner city unit played just before Hawkwind I was off my head by this time but Hawkwind blew what mind I had left I saw them both times later in the year at the Hammersmith Odeon now that was the Levitation tour I don't think the lyceum was part of that tour if memory serves me.
