It was either "Sounds", or "NME" [melody maker was too thick], I suppose it must have been about 2 shillings and sixpence. Aye, those were the days! Only three channel on the TV and they weren't on all the time, had to listen to the wireless or place a '78 on the stereogram. Mars bars were bigger too, have you seen the size these days - Pah!
Without sounding rude my Curly Wurly always felt bigger in the hand than it does now too.

Did you know these spangles are still in existance?? They are packed in small brown cardboard boxes [and kept together with other such goodies as tubes of margarine, dried peas, hardtac biscuits etc, and stores below ground for use for the military on prolonged active duty, or ine event of war. The modern day "ration Pack". Curiously nothing in these packs have a sell by date on, now then.

Spangles made a limited (boo) come back about ten years ago. And you could buy them in single flavour packs - genius! I stocked up on purple and red ones.
Now if only Chocolate Orange Chunky Kit Kat came back.
