Got this today along with Chronicles (yee-ha!) and Live Hawklords. I have not had a chance to play any of them yet but I was a bit surprised with the booklet in this one. The others have all been really good I thought and I enjoyed reading Brian Tawn's essay in Live 79 but I thought the one in Love In Space seemed to tell you lots about what had happened before the album and tour but no much about the tour and subsequent album.
No mention of where it was recorded (I know it was at different venues Cardiff and Bristol - I think) and the bonus tracks were ignored completely.
What was interesting was Brian mentioned lots of albums that were due to be re-issued by Atomhenge, e.g. Church of Hawkwind (to be reissued by Atomhenge) etc but when he mentioned Alien 4 and It Is The Business Of The Future To Be Dangerous he didn't mention (to be reissued by Atomhenge). Now I'm assuming he got bored typing ("to be reissued by Atomhenge") as I can't beleive these won't be reissued.

I noticed that too and thought it was a bit odd.

And as a double album it didn't come in one of those nice cardboard slip cases like all the other double have, which annoys my CD collecting OCD like tendencies!

I cannot stand those digipak things, anything cardboard I hate and why do the teeth on the CD tray always break?

But doesn't Hawklords Live '78 sound fantastic though? It feels more like a complete chunk of concert now with the extended running order.

I'd never heard "Love In Space" before, having lost track of Hwind after the early 80s but I have to say I am really impressed with it on first listen.
Hawklords Live is none too shabby either although I miss the "power cut" from the original version. Little things, eh?

Atom Henge are reissuing everything from Amazing Sounds to Distant Horizons including solo material as I understand it so those albums mentioned earlier will be seeing re-release.
Warrior on the Edge of Time is under negotiation too
Am listening to Hawklords Live 78 now - every one of the reissues has been top drawer to date - definitive editions for sure and great to see after so many years and I can't recommend these highly enough.
Have to disagree about digipaks - they're like mini versions of gatefold albums - and ecologically much sounder than another wedge of black plastic - still each to their own

I must admit i'm a fan of the digipac style. It just feels more like a proper album than the standard plastic box we normally get.

I'd have to disagree with both of you! The best reissues are the mini LP replicas. I've got some by Metallica, The Cult and The Damned and they are brilliant. They do exactly what it says on the tin, right down to the inserts, lyric sheets, replica inner sleeves and even the pop up sleeve on The Damned one. The Metallica ones have a mini 'label' in the centre of the CD and the rest is matt black with 'grooves' so it looks like a 5" record. The Cult and The Damned ones just have the CD looking like the Side 1 Vinyl label. Utterly brilliant - but VERY expensive!
On a complete different note. What is the bonus track on the vinyl version of Electric Teepee? Brian Tawn mentions in the Love In Space booklet (page 7)? I had it on vinyl, many moons ago, but can't recall a bonus track on that vinyl. I remember That Aien 4 had a bonus track 'Space Sex' and the Business Trip had 'Terra Mystica' as an extra on the vinyl and that the vinyl Love In Spcae has one track less (Assassins / Space Is Their Plastine). But I don't think Electric Teepee had (14 + 1 bonus) on vinyl as stated in the booklet. I think Electric Teepee has been mixed up with Alien 4. Anyone one help?

I have Electric Tepee both on vinyl and cd, and can confirm there is no bonus track on the LP. It is a lovely gatefold sleeve in Lp size though!

Yes, sorry if that was confusing. I was comparing the original Griffin CD and vinyl releases.
