This is one of the most difficult things we have ever had to announce, but we have to tell you that unfortunately Jason lost his fight for life today….
We will be posting an obituary later this evening when we feel able and we will be opening a book of condolences.
Goodbye Juice, rest in peace our friend x

I'm pretty rubbish at times like these, so all i'll say is here here to everything that's been said in the post above.
what i have done though is add a whole new category to the forum especially for people to write down own personal thoughts regarding Jason at this sad time.

This is bad news, poor guy, his contribution to Hawkwind has been brilliant, his musical ability comparable to Simon House although his keyboard style reminded me a little of Mike Garson. Listen to Paradox and Alien4 on Knights of Space. RIP Jason

39 is no age to lose life,all of "our" petty and not so petty squabbles are really put into perspective when one so young as Jason leaves the ship well before their time is due.May Jason rest in peace and my deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

What an appalling shock this is. I met Jason only the once, after the Christmas 2005 show at the Astoria. Had a brief but memorable conversation with him: he was totally approachable, thoughtful, intelligent and good-natured. R.I.P.
