Thats a shame fella. Have you thought about coming down south and doing the southampton gig. It would be cheaper than London.

Having a crappy day at work, so have rearrange my work diary so that I am conveniently located for Southampton, Cambridge, Sheffield and Bristol. Whilst I have baggsied the sofa at the brooke, I think I may just be a big boy and stand downstairs - Obviously, standard Hawkwind rules - I will have to wait until the evening to see if I am capable of standing.

Looking forward to Sheffield and Bristol - new venues for me - always like a new venue, adds in a little excitement to the trip.

Pity there is no Cardiff this year - that was a great little venue - bloody cold outside though.

Roll on December.

Standing is the only way at the Brook. The sound is so much better. If you get there early you can blag a stool around the edges so you can still sit but pose as if your standing like a true rock fan.

Thanks for the advice Witchwood - fight you for a stool now! - but I better keep that sofa in reserve - sometimes gavity has this terrible effect on me at hawkwind gigs.

Hope they make a bit more space for the dancers this time - not that the ceiling height helps.
Great Venue though, saw the Blockheads there recently - great night.

Thanks for the kind offers chaps, but money is short and I'd struggle to find money for a ticket, yet alone the money to get to either London, Southampton or Sheffield. I had to sell my Steven Wilson Insurgentes CD / DVD Box Set to fund the 40th show, so unless I sell my 40th Anniversary CD......

I was hoping they'd play Exeter again this tour. They always played Exeter in the past in December, and the first year I could probably get a lift there, they ain't playing :(
I'll just have to make do with seeing Alice Cooper in Dec instead with my lad.

Got my ticket for The Junction - Cambridge. Came by registered mail in 2 days and cost only £1.50 for shipping. I don't want to open old wounds (Astoria etal), but how can this club manage to do it for so little and others want an arm and a leg - surely they wouldn't be ripping us off!

Have email tickets for Southampton and Sheffield - unfortunately that means that I have to go to the ticket booth and maybe even talk to someone - not always capable of talking by the time I get into a Hawkwind gig - however I am always up for the challenge.

Hurry on December.

Don't worry about talking to anyone at Southampton. If you have an e mail ticket a girl is stood just inside the door who marks off your name from a list so as long as you can grunt that you'll be ok. :)
