Hi Kirsty - no problem. Ian's a great writer, and does a fantastic job of summing up such a diverse life in a minimum of words. I know that he could have (and would have) written volumes given the chance.

Thanks. In the print edition they've made the piece the lead obituary for the day and it takes up a good two thirds of a page so with that positioning and Oz's fantastic photo (Margate 1984) I think the paper has done a great job in recognizing a musician who we would all say was special as a musician and as a human being, so full marks to the Indie I think!

Great obituary Ian.

You brought one facet of hawkwind gigs that I hadn't remembered that I will really miss and that's the chats with Huw in the queue to get in. He always seemed to be there chatting with everyone.

Very very sad and so gutted for Marion and the rest of the family. Such lovely people.

Great Obituary, Ian. I have printed it out and slipped into the pages of your superb Hawkwind biography.
