As Wilfired would say "Nix Capish" which means HAH?? Whose copy are you displaying, because thst one looks VG+ to me, .....and we all know what THAT REALLY means!! Further, mine had an eye, with eyebrow, whatever, and it was faint and tryptic as hell.. No 6 could touch it Guess i will have to go into his collection myself. Also the copy you show is very clearly a (edit) misspelling !!!

VG+!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF. The copy I display, is my copy I hold in my hand now, not some virtual copy on a CD-R. I tell you its an EX at least. Yes there is a subtle bottom right hand corner bend, but that is nothing that cant be ironed out. As for this "eyebrow" or "eye or the horus", I have to laugh. OMG, I cant stop laughing now....... EYEBROW in the star! It not I dont believe you, but it is weird that Wilfried's copy does have what I can clearly see as a 6 (666) in the star.

Okay rare moment of serious bullshit-free opinion, because I simply must take my chance to eat now that the evil sun is going down. I was kidding about the VG+. those sleeves are so thin it is likey impossible to get them free of waves. I agree, yours looks more like an EX. The "eye of horus" (or similar) inside ths star of mine was not a joke...... I have not yet figured out how to get W.E. to displays Herr S's items yet, but I will switch out computers soonish, just to see some things, if I must. And finally, now the portal is open to all manner of insanity with this single, but I certainly do agree that you seem to have the first "clean" copy that I know of so far.... There was a nice copy on eBay after I had given mine away, but I left it. (it was shown to me) (wish I'd have checked the star) No idea how often these turn up, I do not search that

Now THOSE are mint sleeves!! My brothel single was xxxtreme mint,,,ouch, that is a rather nice one (to have lost) @jamun, I was only teasing, what I meant was, THAT sleeve and some of it's German Hawkwind companions (which you now have), are so thin, perfect is almost impossible. Your copy def looks nice. I spoke to Wilfried about this briefly, and his quick comment was that ours (mine) had likely been "stamped" The sleeve I gave keith was NOT BAD, and the eye looked GREAT. (It was the record which had seen better days) Not everyone needs mint stuff by the way, and some of my friend's is unbeatable. as is my own,,,hur hur hur.......(Rush music playing in my head, passage to hawkemon") you are now challenged to locate a pristine Lockeed GERMAN LP. Even my friend did not have it until recently when I notified him that I had a copy in my past life. That should tell you what you may be up against. Imagine if you were doing this before eBay and computer access, like we used to do.

The brothel 186 is mine. Yes it is mint. There are two reasons for this. The first is that its a high quality card stock, unlike the thin paper german sleeves you mentioned. The second is I bought it from a dealer I trust. There are too many ebay sellers who over grade and dont parcel stuff up properly.

Anyone know the story behind the pataphysical cover of the original Silver Machine single, the monkey In The machine and the machine in the monkey (see page one of this thread)? And what is the difference between the variants with and without the red flashy lines? We would also like to know, of course, which variant is 'the shit'..
Actually perhaps discussing Silver Machine singles in too much of a can of worms?
1) No, that always bugged me a bit, other than the gears makes sense now we know about Calverts backward bicycle ride on the silver racing bike along the rhine (sp?) I sure hope that is in Switzerland!!! maybe it's also in some way to do with man at his core, and the whole sumerian tablets thing, and the exploitation by hadians 2) You push my limited mental capacity to the edge, I am not sure I paid attention to the the red lines. However, if we are talking in more "conventional terms", I always liked the French version, because the sleeve is more purple instead of blue and the version of 7x7 (you will be guaranteed to get, instead of going nuts trying to get a UK variant) is the loud vocal version none of you have on CD.....yet (I don't have it myself anymore, before you throw rocks and garbage) 3) If we leave the sleeve (or that sleeve in one case) behind I can say what some of the really "gassy" stuff is,,,,,but I might change my mind and clam up
