Wow, I wonder what it'll be like!
I think the government ought to make a smoking ban exemption, in honour of the occasion.
Just got my booking confirmation email

Just booked mine. Don't want to wait, after I missed out on the Southampton Gig. How many does it hold? Bet they run out
Brilliant. Can't wait.

I dont know how many for a gig but the website says 550 max for a meeting, so even if that is doubled or trebled its still no where near the size of Brixton or most of the major London venues.

yay check it out early, cos it looks like this one's moving.
The moment I saw this show mentioned on classicrockmagazine
( http://www.classicrockmagazine.com/news ... ravaganza/ )
I thought I'd take the risk of booking a ticket... totally against the advice of davemod, who'd said to wait for official announcements before getting tickets. But I thought, "What the hell," and went for it.

hi there
in all fairness this was "leaked" a bit earlier than planned, it was the intention that it would be announced on the web site first, but as they say best laid plans.....
obviously most gigs advertised on reputable sites do go ahead and as i said earlier it's your money to do with as you please, my point was that the web site and myspace are the definative places for confirmed gigs.
regardless it's good to see such a positive reaction to the gig and look forward to seeing you all there in august!!
regards
dave

I was most relieved to see, later on, that the news had become official. I did feel kind of out on a limb for a few hours.
According to a chap at the Porchester, who returned my call this morning, the standing capacity is 630. Maybe the bulk of the audience will be people from this forum and the yahoo group
