So no Hawkfest this year. Not over surprised considering the massive work and admin overhead in organising a good fest. So what about 2012? Could it be the year Hawkfest comes up north to Yorkshire? Despite what many southerners think we're actually very civilised up here and we make the best beer in the world. The A1 and M1 give easy access, the dales scenery is unequalled and we're a hairy and friendly lot. Still many old hippies about. For those travelling it would be a good opportunity to mix the fest with a bit of a holiday

Seconded on all counts - or even further north, where we're even friendlier and there's loads of space too...

Anywhere is good for me. I just love the atmosphere at a Hawkfest.

As I'd be coming across on ferry from Holland north or south makes no difference to me, but as a suggestion could a Hawkfest be organised in a woodland clearing?

Dalby Forest would be amazing, there's been a few gigs there. Located near Scarborough, handy for the Hull ferries for our european friends. Longnor Farm near my house would also be good, as it has a stone sircle.

All the best Hawkfests have been down South, so I'm all for another South Coast festival....
Warmer too.......and i imagine, easier for the Hawks to put on a festival near 'Home'

Nowhere in England is too far from anywhere else so even those up North don't really have too far to travel.....

See you in a field in Devon sometime soon...!

May be warmer down south but the beer is better up here! Thats beyond doubt.

A field in Devon sounds good to me! (and we've got some pretty good real ales down here too)

Devon's lovely but too far for this aging hippy with a dodgy back

Yes, there's a couple of important factors to try and juggle with!

Most festivals in the past, I've got a bus and then walked... or had a lift in someone's car. If there's a HF in 2012 then I should have my own motor, and I'd be able to drive to it.

I really don't care where it is, I'll just think yippee, and drive there.

Go on, come north! See the beautiful dales! Do an acoustic set at Tan Hill Inn like the Levellers did! Visit Arthur Brown's birthplace! See beautiful York and it's ghosts.
