At the Hawkfest Pow-Wow we shall be instituting a series of smoke signals based on the protocols of the Haulapia tribe, Arizona.

We shall also be instituting our own tribe 'Ghost Dance' which will consist of getting extremely loaded and conga-ing our way around the non-tribe palefaces camped on the rest of the site, whooping, yelling, farting and generally making suitable noises (Vuvuzeles are strictly barred).

Dress is optional (but at least wear some Y-fronts for fear of scaring the palefaces).

Dont know about this. Thats just how I"ve got myself barred from a great deal of campsites round the country doing this very same form of relaxation. "Yes sir, I DO know this is a family site, but surely they"re tucked up in there sleeping bags at 3am , and it DOES seem a nice night for it" was my usual reply, but to no avail.

We braves aren't afraid of the Puttyfoot site marshalls. If they don't take the offer of the pipe of peace and some firewater we'll scalp 'em!

*** Edit - how many campsites have you been thrown out of? Remind me to move the tipi away from you during the first afternoon ***

Aha, the old "I'm sorry officer, I'm sure I had some underpants on when I came out" excuse. How many times have we all used this?

just added the following to the main site -

We can now add Tragic Roundabout and Familiar Looking Strangers to this years line up, both bands proved to be hugely popular with the audience at Hawkfest 2008. Secondly, we can also confirm that Dick Taylor who you will no doubt be aware produced Hawkwind's first album some 40 years ago, will be making a special appearance along with his band, The Hillmans.

As ever look out for more announcements coming your way in the near future and for all the current Hawkfest news and details click below.
