i wouldnt go jumping into anything just yet as said in a previous thread the band have to wait for licensing approval first before it is definate. Nothing is certain until its on mission control or here on the forum when the band say so. Peace x
P.S it will be great if the fest goes ahead but im beginning to think its looking doubtful now as there would be an awful lot of work for Kris, Margaret and the rest of the crew to do in such a short space of time Love n light Bev x

i understand what your saying bev but it is in their official mypsace which is why i mentioned it otherwise i would never accept info from an outside party it also says west country so thats the general location but as also stated until the licence is granted nothing is official

Hello Folks!

Sorry about the lack of news, we are still awaiting license approval and site confirmation, but if all goes to plan, Hawkfest will be held on the last weekend in July again...24th-26th July.

Hope this helps...

We have a meeting on site tomorrow afternoon, so we will have more news then..

Yeah, it'd be good to get some dates and a location. Then we can start speculating about who'll be on.

No point doing yet, as it might not even be going ahead...

I was talking to the merchandise guy at Bolton and he said that, last he heard, they were having problems finding a suitable location. He reckoned it was getting a bit late in the day now but we live in hope

Dont want to be a pooper and all that but Festichick has mentioned some good points here and in another thread. I will say the best year for a Hawkfest is this year but what about the extensive tour dates. One fest date is the week before the provisional hawkfest dates isnt it? Hawkwind holidays and im sure the many other things The Hawks are involved with... maybe recording and writing.... i can hope ..... ect will surely hamper their efforts here. I would say that if it did go ahead it will be a miracle now. 4 months away !? I would say i would be happy if they said yes or no as i am thinking about my year for Fests and holiday very seriously now and could be away on them dates.
