If it really was 'same time, same place' that would be fantastic! The festival was brilliantly organised and the site was beautiful. I feel that this really added to the special atmosphere that so many of us have commented on.
An early commitment from the band as to when the festival will be would be very welcome as I (and a couple of others on here) have to book leave nearly a year in advance - I only made this years festival after arranging a load of shift swaps and ended up working nearly a 100 hour week in order to get the time off - for that reason, it was the first Hawkfest I've managed to get to.
But yeah, I'd certainly vote for same time, same place (if asked) and next time I'd know to get a cab from the station to the site instead of walking up that bloody hill - I needed a glass of champagne from Malinkeys to get over it!
I appreciate that a greenfield site presents more problems than otherwise, but didn't Kris and co do an absolutely fantastic job! So, Kris, Margaret, Dave and everyone else - Thank you all very much indeed, I can't imagine how you could have improved on this!

I thought that this was the bet festival so far and I have been to all four. There were more traders which meant there were more things to do for us punters during the day and a great choice of cafes etc. I realise it must have taken more to organise having no running water on site and costs must have been subsequently higher. I don't mind roughing it for a few days but surely plumbed in loos and electric must be easier all round?
The site was fabulous but it was a very long journey for those of us in the north and I think Hawkfest should move around the country to give everyone a fair chance to get there.
As for dates I think there is a better chance of good weather in July than June and its better for people with kids, even tho' I don't have any myself. Summer solstice is out for me, as its my wedding anniversary and my old man would be seriously pissed off if I went away; chances of him coming to Hawkfest are zero.

This was a fantastic site, even if we had to travel from exeter by train every day since we stayed at a hotel there. The weather, the music, all you friendly people and musiclovers and the place up there in the woods were just fantastic.
I'll come back next year, with a tent , wherever the Hawkfest will be, but I hope it's the same place.
Since we come from Norway we had to travel by bus, underground and train Stanstead London - Exeter and paid 230 £ for 2 return tickets + 250£ for the fligt I will come back 2009 , but maybe choose an other airport.
This was my first Hawkfest ( should have gone last year, but no vacation ) and it won't be my last.
See u in space

I agree with most comments here this site was the best by far like one massive private party. Excellent and Honiton only down the road, well 3 miles actually, it was a struggle back up that hill but well worth it

I'd be happy with the same site, however I beleive there were a few problems Kris had to deal with over the weekend so it's whatever's easy for her.

I would like to add my support to the idea of repeating exactly what we did this year. Great site, unecumbered with the commercial crap we put up with everywhere else. Still feel we shoudl egt a couple more 'names' though. Budgie please -- Burke Shelley & Hawkwind - heaven. !!!
The Toilets can easily be emptied more often.

Budgie would have been "heaven", and what abouy Farflung, Magic Mushroom Band, Five Fifteen, Amon Duul II and finally Edgar Broughton Band which had a consert here in Norway this year, but I missed it.

But, will there be another Hawkfest next year and if, are there anyone who knows when Hawkwind will announce it or when did they do it before on the 4 Hawkfest's ?
I don't remember what time I saw the announcement for Hawkfest 2008.
Just curious regarding airtickets, vacation etc since I come from the land of the midnight sun

They usually announce it early in the New Year and ask fans views on where they would like it held and then confirm it a bit later on in the year.
I think the site they held this years Hawkfest just outside Honiton would be a good place to hold it again. Jason lived in the area and it would be a tribute to him if it was held in the Honiton area again.
