HawkEaster Happening 2018!

Friday 30th March to Sun 1st April 2018.

The Alhambra Theatre, Morecambe.

This wonderful old seaside theatre has been given two years to prove itself as an arts/music venue…..If not, it will be turned into flats.

It is an important part of UK theatre history, most famous for being the setting for John Osborne’s “The Entertainer” starring Laurence Olivier which was filmed there in 1960.

We want to help save this iconic building which situated on an amazing beach in an often overlooked part of the country.

More details of the HawkEaster Happening 2018 coming soon…

HGT4, it's a very warm feeling you instill, that I will savor a very long time (actually), and so rather than make an embarrassing checklist, I will honestly state that my track record for travel is that

"I usually turn up at Hawkwind gigs so drunk most men would be dead", due to the extreme strain of getting there.

edit: I could actually be sober now, IF there is NO heat or humidity in the slightest and nothing but freezing air for sleep.

That's in theory of course and not mentioning the little boy who took the cat-rabbit body to be with me?.... or the lint balls in wallet.

edit: When in England the weather was delightful. I seem to have a genetic problem which has worsened and the weather here is more apparently twiddled.

Ah, Moulsecombe...the cultural epi center on the South Coast !!

BB booked, hopefully in the right town in the Northern hemisphere, would have camped as normal but I think its above the snow line.
Theres a bit of a frenzy going on in Booking.com and other online booking services so perhaps anyone thinking of getting a B&B sooner rather than later before the prices get pumped up.
Theres a few, like the one I reserved that you dont have to pay now, but on arrival, and free cancellation policy up to close the date.

Far too organised for me. I can't think a week ahead, never mind 8 months.

This came through from HQ:

"For folk who are considering camping for the HawkEaster Happening....We are trying to arrange a "private" camping site nearby.

Also there is a "Haven" type static caravan site a few minutes walking distance from venue, with static caravans to hire. .also a couple of really nice Caravan and Camping club sites.... We are gathering info for a fact sheet which we should have together later this week. :-) x"

yeah cheers BD for highlighting that one major obstacle.
Still, I'll just have to remember those great human explorers from the past.
Who overcame hell to reach their goals & of which many made the ultimate sacrifice.
