Not strictly a Hawkwind track, but how about Arthur fronting FIRE. Shame they never did it.

Arthur did Fire at the first Hawkfest in Seaton Devon when he performed on the friday night( i think) i can remember a lot of fans sitting outside the main tent as it was very loud when he hit his high notes but good all the same lol. Peace Bev x

I'd like to see Ron back - at least for a gig - for a Hawklords 30th anniversary session.
Much as I like Arthur (who's a really nice chap and a great performer), I wasn't struck with his HW stuff.
The original stuff that Ron had a hand in was excellent, but he's also the only front man I've seen who can pull off the Calvert stuff (without 'doing an impression').

I'm with jimski on this one, Ron to do some of the Clavrt material, he was the only person who did it in such a way that it wasn't just a "cover", he added something of himself to the material without detracting from it.

Rock & Blues Custom Show has just been cancelled. It was on the same weekend as the mighty Hawkfest. As a result Budgie (Cardiff) may be available. Does anybody else think they would be a great addition?
Sorry I put this on the other forum incorrectly.
Are they booked yet? Great to see so many fans of the might Lemster to. Great to have his fine looks gracing Hawkfest.

I never made it to the 1st Hawkfest and did not know this. I weren't that keen on Arthur fronting Hawkwind, but would still like to see them do FIRE. See Arthur supporting Ozrics at Islington Marquee some time back and FIRE was amazing.

If DB was thinking of trying another thing like the Sonic Assassins (1977) or the Agents of Chaos (1988-89) then Hawkfest would be a good place to give it a run-out, on a non-HW and non-TOSH night.
As much as I like Hawkwind stuff, it's sometimes good to hear the unusual... like Imhotep (Tubilah Dog song) or City of Tiny Lights, say.

Has hes the man of the moment stirring all manner of controversy(see"how do i avoid seeing certain bands" thread on this forum) may i suggest Uncle Rotter to guest with hawkwind?
i saw Uncle a couple of weeks ago at the manchester academy and hes a fine frontman!
can you imagine Assassins of Allah,Silver Machine,Brainstorm,Psychedlic Warlords and Andrea Android with Mr Rotter at the helm?bloody orbital!
what about a version of Right Stuff(thatd give Mr Wyndorf a run for his money!),Needle Gun or Shot Down In The Night?
i think it would take things to quite a new level!!!
for those of you who arnt familiar with uncle rotter you can check him out at www.unclerotter.com.
