Second night of the tour and the new album just released so we know the show will heavily feature the album, but have had next to no time to listen to it.

Venue set up with no support act and Hawkwind on at 19.45. No Dead Fred and no dancers either as they have flu.

Niall plays one keyboard and effects and as such the music is driven by Dave's guitar.

I would imagine it is a very similar set to what was played at Hawkeaster but the tracks from the new album are very, very good with probably Thursday and In My Room being outstaning. I will not go into the set list for those who have still to see the show but they play Shot Down in the Night and what a blistering version this is. I was never a great lover of the song but the way it has been played recently has changed my mind.

The show tonight was 10 times better that the Xmas show and the band got into gear very quickly which I was nort expecting so soon in the tour. Haz was blistering on the bass really driving things along but the highlight was the guitar work of Dave - anyone who likes to listen to him play will have a field day with this he was incredible.

Possibly one of the best tours that they have done in years.

In you are thinking about going - just go

If you have a ticket savour what is about to come.

All Hail the Hawks.

And in the fullness of Time the Prophecy will be fulfilled..

I was a bit worried that with talk of the band being unwell and a gig at the start of the tour that this might not have been a classic gig.
However the hawks were great and delivered a very good set.
Probably the best set in a couple of years

The Glasgow gig was excellent. I listened to the new album in the car on the way to the gig so it was good recognising the new songs that they played. The new album is excellent. The best part of the gig for me was, I think, Lost in Science. It's good on the album but much better live. Haz was brilliant too.
