Great stuff SD, my exact situation and I do get drawn in, of course, but I find the way the news is presented there to be "against my personal spiritual value system", nevermind any and all of humanity's endless worthless "nothing really good or worthwhile" to say :), and I think I should screen it all out.

Also want to clarify that I just realized that I may not even know what Microsoft IE browser I am using??

would it be 11 maybe??

I have always been talking about the OS, essentially?? I get confused between the 2, especially since in my case it all came bundled
I do know the word "edge" figures in

and changing subjects for a sec but I can gripe endlessly about everything if I wish, because it's what I'm hardwired to do, anyway:

Isn't it a bit suspect how if you use or do any photos with Google that it now kinda yanks them further out of your control and where you have to do more work locating your storage to delete them.
I say everything is trying to lead us into a honeycomb social share situation.
be careful with Gmail features as one slip and you are gathering data somewhere else.
I say it is all one big suspect ball of doo doo :)

or am I just bitching about the browser??

and oh yeah those stupid apps just waiting for application on the desktop

sorry, don't want to play "war ship"
I know those can be deleted, I am just now considering playing around again with the settings but it is certainly a migraine.
Oh yes and STOP taking my photos and making an album for me you %%^&&**s

To me this seems like a formulated exercise in leading us deeper down a share hole

I avoid Google like the plague as well!

When I first got this new machine I spent a week just going through all the settings and turning nearly all the 'default' switches I could find to 'off'. I must have switched off 20+ different defaults! Probably half a dozen or so were actually needed to be left on.

Any help I can give in turning this shit off, just ask. I don't exactly remember all of it but I can look through my settings and see what is left switched on.

I also avoid air travel (don't like the idea of being responsible for all that high-altitude pollution). :)

I'm with you in spirit.

Create a desktop shortcut using the path

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -private

IE11, no history, no targetted ads
