Groovy, baby!

Hopefully I'll see it in the flesh at the Roundhouse if he's using it.

He used that guitar in Ipswich for the entire main set as far as I could see. Seems to be his new favourite. His backup was the Gibson Nighthawk.

What's the chances of Hawkwind releasing 'Ascent Of Man' as a single.
The unplugged version that is.
Should get loads of airplay & appeal to a much younger generation who might not of ever heard of them.
It's a really beautiful song.
I mean Ed Sheeran is good but this stuff is so much more.

Can't the poor bugger afford more effects ? ;-) They're £79 new.

Mind you, got lots of Gibbo clones here plus the inevitable Line 6.... I might see what presets he's using. ;-)

I seem to recall that Dave used Picato 9 gauges as they were the cheapest string he could find. The old cheapskate. ;-)

Nighthawk's nice, but I believe getting replacement bridge pickups is, er, interesting. ;-)

The one problem I have with Gibsons is the 24 3/4" scale, which is, incidentally, wrong after about the 15th fret. It was wrongly calculated and I don't think it's ever been changed. I've got two LP clones (Tokai, Epiphone Gold Top) and a Tokai SG. When switching between them and a Strat, it's more comfortable playing up the (longer scale) neck. However, nicest neck I have is an even longer scale Danelectro.
