I'm curious when these disc's will start hovering towards our pods?
It would be terrific if we could have them by Christmas.
Perhaps shipping by Hawkward records will be more efficient than the past.
Positive thinking never hurts.

looking forward to Brockworld, and now this too:

"We’ve got a new album coming out next year, a full storyline. The Machine Stops. A true prog concept album.”

He has mentioned that theme before. It is a novella by E.M. Forster.

"prog"

Prog!? 70s prog rock or a new progressive music for the 21st century?

And would we like either?

As mentioned elsewhere, it seems they've taken the money now, which hopefully means they'll be dispatching it soon. It'll be weird if they don't do the customary last minute delay however. It intrigues me that it's still not available on Amazon. As far as I can determine it's only on hawkwind.com. If it comes out on time and is a good quality package I'll be very encouraged.

After that, it'll be interesting to see if the new Hawkwind album comes out that way, not to mention the long delayed Live Warrior album. Maybe (whisper it) the mystery releases button might one day get past the "coming soon..." message.

I've just ordered.

I'm really happy to support the band 'doing it themselves'. I just hope it's a painless experience for them and this is the way future releases will go.

Shall hang fire for now; I wanna hear these new pieces of work before deciding whether to shell-out or not. It's not like the 70's where you just bought every new HW release because you somehow knew it was going to be colossal.

I have always liked dave Brock's solo releases. They are not too everyone's taste but I like him just experimenting rather than having to so something for Hawkwind fans.

Anything by Dave Brock beats the sh*t out of other current day releases.
(In my ears at least.)
Mine is ordered so hopefully it'll be here by Christmas.

Speaking of Prog (not trying to hijack this thread but it was mentioned a few posts aobve)- I just picked up a compliation CD entitled The Old Grey Whistle Test - Prog, which starts with Wishing Well (Free) and ends with Silver Machine (HW, of course) and in between are a further 13 tracks or so, by the likes of Renaissance, Mott the Hoople, Kansas, Journey, ELP, Jethro Tull, Wishbone ash... sort of a mixed bag in terms of decades and genres ... but some of it is quite fantastic! I've not heard Renaissance before and the song Northern Lights (which I understand is later in their catalog, from around '95 or so) makes me want to check them out. Same with Curved Air. Not a bad gamble for $5.00

I knew that Hawkwind played on the Marc Bolan Show but not on TOGWTest.
I'd really like to see a clip of that if it exists.
(Dave Brock wasn't present on the MB show).
Check out OGWT on You Tube and get ready for days of live 70's music.

I know, I've read about the OGWT and seen some footage (not of HW), which is what made me pick up the CD in the first place. However, it's just studio album tracks/singles that are on the CD, not actual OGWT performances. Still, it turned me onto some new music and isn't a bad compilation for $5.00

Bloody hell! Brockworld is here... It's actually early! This never happens!

"Stories in sound, some relate to the next stage show "The Machine" all together about 50 mins"

It's a digipack with a simple two page booklet slipped inside. Looking forward to listening to it.
