Hi all

Has anyone else seen BOC on this tour? Caught them in Newcastle on Monday night, phew what a show!! Real fans' gig, loads of deep cuts, tight band, great PA sound and great crowd too.

Last saw them in 77 at New Bingley Hall near Stafford. Excellent gig, lousy venue, the roof kept resonating. Found a tape of it recently!

Haven't seen them for a few years now but they have always been very good live. The first time I saw them was at the tail end of their 'glory days' playing a fairly full Hammersmith Odeon on the Imaginos Tour.

Since then it has been the ever smaller venues but always a great show. Missed the 'Agents of Fortune' show at The Forum as, 'Don't Fear The Reaper' aside, I don't really rate the album.

Their recent run only had one date near me and that unfortunately was the Stone Free Festival and I was not going to pay to bands I have no interest in. Had a friend who went and said they were great, played the debut album in full.

One of the few classic rock bands of the 70's I never did see ... did hear a live recording recently which dates from a time when 'Agents' was the new album out ~ an impressive performance. That album does bring back some memories of adolescence which are a bit painful, thanks to Patti Smith and a girl I was involved with then.

Ah, but to go back and relive just one day...

Yes agreed; Patti Smith had a lot to answer for when it came to sexy girls & adolescent male teenagers. Ime !
Back to the main subject though; Never seen BOC live. Great musicianship of course. Albums always sounding too clean & without any rough edges, for my own preference. Guessing it was in the production.
Saying that, DFTR a massive sound & kinda 'Spacey'. A Classic piece of music.
Worth checking out the Lydia Lunch & Clint Ruin version also.

Only ever seen them once Castle Donnington Monsters of Rock Festival August 1981 when the drummer had walked out on them and his drum roadie stood in and they were terrible.
