what about an american touch?
Billy Childish
Elliott Murphy & Normandy all stars (he lives and tours in france)
Eugene Edwards'Wovenhand
Thee Silver Mount Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra La La Band
Violent Femmes
maybe some of them plan GB summer tours ?
same for John Butler Trio if they're this side of the world
and cross the channel :
Didier Malherbe's Haïduk Trio
Prime Sinister would be good to see and hear again
and ok for the return of P.A.I.N., Bob Kerr's Whoopee band, Tits of death
plus those already confirmed
the jazz band during the wedding afternoon was a good & fresh idea
plus any combination of ex-HW or ex Gong
and last year I missed some reggae...
anyway the choice was right and let good discoveries & surprises
so let's have faith & hope sunny days & moony nights
Smile & shine

didn't intend to add a new file but british language and computer using are foreign or even sometimes alien topics for me
anyway these bands can be as much strange as they're strangers
give them (and you) a chance to be heard or seen if you cross them
i'll just add Red Cardell, Mike Scott +- Waterboys (foreign?) and will next stick to the other "bands for hawkfest" topic
Salut'n'roll

I was only pulling your leg/chain or whatever the American version is. Welcome to the boards, have any of them applied? Tell them to click the following link for band submissions:

Good luck and hope to see you there

WHITE HILLS - NEW YORK BASED 3 PIECE SPACE ROCK OUTFIT WORTH CHECKING OUT CURRENTLY ON TOUR IN UK. HAVE A LOOK AT HEADS ON FIRE - ROCKET RECORDINGS OR ON MYSPACE.COM/WHITEHILLS OR ON WHITEHILLSMUSIC.COM. SAW THEM LAST NIGHT, LIVERPOOL (IN A CHURCH OF ALL PLACES) PEWS REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE AND FREEZING COLD BUT WELL WORTH IT. WHITEHILLS WERE HEADLINING WITH GNOD AND MUGSTAR FOR SUPPORT. WHITEHILLS FIRST INFLUENCE IS HAWKWIND WHICH RESONATES THROUGHOUT THE 7 TRACKS ON THE ALBUM AND THE LIVE SET BUT WHITEHILLS ARE IN A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN, POWERFUL, COMPETANT, AWESOME - GO AND SEE THEM, SCAREY DRUMMER, GORGEOUS BASS PLAYER, AND FLEXIBLE DAVE W ON GUITAR, VOCALS, MOOG, KORG AND OSCILLATOR. WOULD LIKE TO SEE WHITEHILLS AT HAWKFEST.
