Hawkwindforum

I have lost count of how many times I have seen hawkwind but never seen Dave do any acoustic stuff - and let’s face it; the early stuff recorded is inspired! Probably even better after decades of experience!

So it’s probably a long shot but a short acoustic set, maybe as part of a session giving other talented acoustic artists a chance may well go down a dream - also accessible to the younger ones.

At the other end of the spectrum, been to several Motorhead gigs but at Hawkfest last year just about every bit of my body was in resonance during Hawkwinds set - the sound and especially the bottom end & Dave’s guitar was fantastic. So a small request for the same this year? Maybe being a private site, it will be possible to crank it up!?

I totally agree. I've been saying it for ages meself. I've heard all about DB's reknowned busking skills but after nearly 30 years as a fan I've never seen them. I even asked at Qusetion Time last Hawkfest if he'd brought his harmonica (but he hadn't).

How about a bit of (semi-)acoustic stuff during the Pschedelic Picnic? I'm sure we could have a whip round and get the poor fella a cuppa tea. Maybe even a biscuit or two.



Not actually in the photo but, depending on the time it was taken, probably not far away - possibly only a coupla feet! I'll have tyo dig out my old 110 photos and compare them.

(I've even managed to pick out my (then) long-flowing locks in the crowd of the 'Henge video. R.I.P. long hair, howdy-doody bald patch!)
