No, but if I want exclusive edits, I can make them myself.
Actually a proper 1973 Hawkwind EP, for me, would include singles that weren't on their LPs, such as, Urban Guerrilla, Brainbox Pollution, It's So Easy, maybe a live side consisting of Silver Machine, Orgone Accumulator and Born To Go.

Can't recall seeing this item before.
I like the proud selling point: "have all been pruned to 4:30 thus creating exclusive edits for the Hawkwind collector"... some positive spin, you could say!

It's So Easy was 74 (just!) unless this Parallel comp studio version is earlier? But how about Urban, Brainbox, Live & Let Live and Etchanatay? Maybe Down on her Knees too...

The version on Parallel Worlds is different and interesting, but IMO is not as good as the 7" 'live' version. The same is true of You'd Better Believe It. But those two tracks are not the reason you'd want to buy this collection. However, the first CD in that set, well that is worth the admission price alone.

From the samples I've heard I'd agree, ISE seems to lack some power and YBBI seems similar but weaker (and obviously a lot shorter!). At least Take What You Can is a lot sharper than the Weird (live?) version but that's the only essential on disc 2 - disc 1 is certainly the main attraction. What will be interesting is how it affects my track-listings. For ages I've collected all the non-lp tracks from 72 together as one 'album', Silver Machine, 7x7, Born to Go, Orgone, Upside Down, but left off the poetry as that's more suited to space ritual (which i listen to minus Born to Go etc). It clocks in at 34 minutes which is a bit short for an album. We Do It from 71 just sounds so different in production it just doesn't fit, but I'm hoping the 71 version of Sweet Mistress Of Pain will fit. Ditto the non-lp 73-4 stuff. Urban G, Brainbox P, It's So Easy, Make What You Can, Live & Let Live, Etchanatay, Down On Her Knees. At 34 minutes maybe a bit short for an lp (and too poppy?) for Hawkwind but a logical collection. With the longer studio cut of It's So Easy, extended Brainbox and longer Take What You Can the time would clock in at over 40 minutes and seem less poppy i'd guess but obviously if it isn't as good then it won't be changed! It would take a lot to want to alter the actual studio LP's though.
