Hmmm yes, that would be a curve ball. Especially if it was the 'adult' version that's called "Have a Screw."
'Ave a screw, screw screw, can you give my friend one too, can i have a screw cause nothing else will do, if you hold my tool, if you hold it nice and tight, you can screw it in, you can screw it in tonight!

I will post the list of the most wanted songs to Hawkwind tonight and thanks for all your votes.
The list will be the songs with more than 5 votes:
Born to go Night of the hawks You shouldn't do that 7 by 7 Lord of light Needle gun Kings of speedplus
3 and 4 votes
Urban Guerilla Paradox You'd better beleive it Orgone accumulator Assault and battery Magnu Moonglum Spiral Galaxy Opa Loka The right stuff Psycedelic warriors We took the wrong step years ago Space is deep Brainbox pollutionSo then I'll leave it up to the Hawks to decide what they'll do and hope they play some of them, specially the ones on the top

WHY has Needle Gun been in top picks ?!! I personally find the lyrics terribly cheesy and the track a bit too 'simple' to be a classic fave ..... gimme Moonglum any day !

My thoughts exactly. Its allways sounded to me like a classic MOR "POP" record. Dare I stick my neck out and say "Kings Of Speed" was something of an oddball as well. But hey, the rest are top dog.

Agree too about Needle Gun.
They opened with Needle Gun at their gig in Oslo in 1991 and it was nothing more than ok , but the rest of the show was quite good.
I'll go for Born to go. Never heard it live except on space ritual and of course Speed King

I voted for both tracks
I like Needle Gun because it's so simple....I loved the way they did it without the lead gtr after huwey left - no accounting for taste is there?
yeh Kings Of Speed maybe an oddball but I like oddballs I am an oddball...and other than a quick blast of the chorus at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool in December 1989 I've never heard it live.

needle gun would be great to hear live .. i cant recall hearing anything of the cotbs live in the 20 years ive seen them, and the ambient pieces of music have just as much signifigance as the rocky numbers in my opinion ............drifting through space for an hour or two ..
