i think alot of our chosen songs could depend on who turns up.
its only 8 weeks away have we got a line up yet????????

The idea about this voting was to send a request to the Hawks and asking if they could do 3 - 5 of our most voted tracks as a tribute or dedication for the Hawkwind-forum members and I'll do it in 3 weeks from now so for those who has not put down any wishes yet there is still time to do it. The list will be maybe 15 tracks which they can choose from, and I hope they'll do it
Don't think we can ask for more cause they will put the set-list / line-up, but as long as it's an anniversary with some extra's and a long evening I think they will do this for us. Well, I hope 8)

I couldn't care less if I never heard the band play those three songs again. All three bore me to tears when they play them. So glad Hawkwind are a band that doesn't have a 'must do' song. I guess it could have happened with Silver Machine but they have wisely put that song to bed for years on a number of occasions (hint hint)

Yeh I agree they are wonderfull songs, and I guess if you're a band you have to please the people who come to see you live who might only know songs such as these...I went to see Roy wood live in at The Robin 2, Bilston last summer - I only know the hits so when he only played all his well known Move/Wizzard stuff it didn't bother me as I'd never seen him before and don't know his albums. I overheard two guys talking before he came on moaning (quite rightly) that they come to see him often and they only get the hits and were quite frustrated by this. So maybe it's not so bad putting up with 2 or 3 songs from Hawkwind.

The only "must hear song" appears to be Hassan I Sabha / Assassins of Allaha which I have grown fed up of hearing to be honest. As in 20 years of seeing the band its the only song I have heard every time. It could do with a rest I feel.

I concur with a lot of the foregoing... there's plenty of strong stuff around that can replace Brainstorm, Silver, Master and Hassan.

ONOZ

I want to slip "Brainbox Pollution" into my list!

The list started as 10 and was then extended to 15. Assuming it isn't going to extend again to 20, then I guess I must drop "Shouldn't Do That/Earth Calling."

ONOZ

I was agonising over that decision for several minutes!

I'd pay good money to see them cover "Agadoo" by Black Lace with Dave leading the actions.
